Good evening. The weather is warming up, the restrictions are lifting (some places), and bitcoin is teetering at $60k. Things are starting to re-open, the unemployment rate is recovering, and there’s a lot of speculation in the financial markets as we navigate what reopening will look like this year and beyond. I am in the midst of writing a longer-form post on that in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, I’m excited to announce that after a month of planning, Beau (@shaperfunds) and I have launched our podcast on value investing and Bitcoin.
Beau is an incredibly sharp mind, and a great friend of mine, who has really been instrumental in helping me connect the dots on how bitcoin will permeate throughout our traditional financial world.
In our debut episode, we discuss the various measures of inflation and their inability to offer accurate pricing signals today.
We discuss the current precarious situation that value investors find themselves in when assessing a company using traditional valuation methods like Discounted Cash Flow.
We discuss Naufal Sanaullah’s guest episode on The Business Brew podcast and his reasonings for why inflation hasn’t happened yet.
We also talk about Michael Saylor's views on bitcoin and inflation, and the process of hyperbitcoinization unfolding this decade.
Hope you enjoy the show - would love to know what you think if you have feedback!
